Privacy Policy

Echon AI LLC ("Echon," "we," "us") is an implementation agency and product studio that builds AI-powered operating systems for home service and trades businesses, including AI phone assistance and a business dashboard. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email soren@echon.io.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, business name, business phone number, and business address when you create an Echon account.
• Call data — when our AI receptionist answers a call to your business number, we collect the call recording, transcript, and caller-provided details such as name, phone number, service address, and the reason for the call. Where required by law, callers are notified that the call is being recorded.
• Business configuration — the services, pricing notes, business hours, and team information you enter to configure your receptionist.
• Usage data — basic technical information such as log data and device/browser type when you use the Echon dashboard.

2. How we use information

• To answer your business calls, book appointments, capture quote requests, and take messages on your behalf.
• To transcribe and summarize calls so they appear in your dashboard.
• To provide customer support, billing, and service communications.
• To improve the reliability and accuracy of the service.

We do not sell your data or your customers' data to third parties, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Google user data

If you choose to connect your Google Calendar, Echon accesses your calendar solely to (a) read your availability so the receptionist can offer open appointment times, and (b) create appointment events on your behalf when a caller books a job. Echon does not share Google user data with third parties, does not sell it, and does not use it for advertising. We store only what is needed to provide scheduling (such as event identifiers and OAuth tokens, which are stored encrypted). You can revoke Echon's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page or by disconnecting the integration in your Echon settings, after which we delete the associated tokens.

Echon's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Service providers

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate Echon, each of which processes data only as needed to provide the service: cloud hosting and database providers, telephony and voice infrastructure providers, AI providers used to transcribe and summarize calls, and a payment processor for billing. We do not permit these providers to use your data for their own purposes.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain call recordings, transcripts, and business data for as long as your account is active so your call history remains available to you. If you close your account, or if you email us a deletion request at soren@echon.io, we will delete your account data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Security

Your data is stored with access controls that isolate each business's workspace, and sensitive credentials such as OAuth tokens are stored encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we design the service so that only you and your team can access your business's data.

7. Your rights and choices

• You can access, correct, or export your business data from your dashboard, or by emailing us.
• You can disable call recording in your settings.
• You can disconnect integrations, including Google Calendar, at any time.
• You can request deletion of your data as described above.

8. Children

Echon is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email before the changes take effect and update the date at the top of this page.
